Živimo u vremenu intenzivnog razvoja savremene nauke i tehnike, na prelazu iz industrijskog perioda u informatičko društvo. Tehnologija zasnovana na robotizaciji i mikroelektronici, postala je naša stvarnosti. Konture novog društva već se naziru, ali još nemamo potpuno jasnu sliku tog novog društva, a ni kako će rad u njemu izgledati. Razvoj robotizacije zahtijeva i nužnost redefinisanja pristupa istraživanju i promišljanju nove pozicije čovjeka u svijetu rada i društva, koju uslovljavaju promjene u tehnologiji. Robotizacija može da znači i jedan novi pogled filozofske, sociološke, psihološke i tehnološke misli u istraživanju uticaja tehnoloških promjena, inovacija i modernizacija na čovjeka i društvo. To je i novi pogled na budućnost i izazove koje donosi. Robotizacija ima više socioloških aspekata. Ona je društveni sistem i društveni proces. Roboti sve više nalikuju ljudima i ljudskom ponašanju.
